I’m in iceland for the New Year! Fireowrks have been popping and exploding outside my window for the last 72 hours. Icelanders really love their fireworks. The big Grand Finale will be outside Hallgrims chruch where I will soon wander over with a cold beer. I’m here in reykjavik to study some Icelandic, Icelandic poetry and ecology and meet and talk with embassy and university staff about doing Cuvaj se workshops. Happy New Year!
P.S I can’t wait to dig into this beautiful book of poems by Harpa Run Kristjansdottir, Edda, winner of the 2019 Tomas Gudmundsson Literature Prize.
