Sarajevo

I had my third trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina in the last nine months. It so much feels like a second home, now, and I miss it when I am away. This time I was working on curriculum for Critical Writing and Thinking for a new school being planned as a way to resist nationalism and authoritarianism. Well, this is it’s secret/not so secret mission, anyway. “Under conditions of tyranny it is far easier to act than to think” says Hannah Arendt. And this world is quickly becoming overrun with all manner of tyranny. We all must recommit ourselves to strengthen our thinking, work those deep muscles of thought, in order to withstand what’s coming.
